| Scholarships
The Heartland Chapter will award up to $1,500 in scholarships per year. Applications for 2008-2009 scholarships up to $500 are available for submission by December 31, 2008. Decisions on scholarship recipients will be made in March with the announcement of the recipients made at the Chapter Annual Meeting in April. Applications will be submitted to the Chapter Administrator at heartlandadmin@cox.net.

Awards (Star of the Quarter and Star of the Year)
Star of the Quarter
The Heartland Chapter recognizes a planner and/or a supplier each quarter as Heartland Star of the Quarter. At the end of the
year (June 30th), the Chapter Board of Directors votes to determine the Heartland Star of the Year from the quarterly winners.
Heartland Star of the Year is then awarded a paid registration and airfare to the MPI World Education Congress (summer) or the MPI Professional Education Conference (winter) for up to $2,000.00.
Individuals can be nominated by any member of the Heartland Chapter. The Heartland Chapter recognizes those members that contribute significantly above and beyond the ordinary. Things to be considered could be presenting or planning programs, planning a unique fundraiser, actively solicitating members, serving on a committee for a special project, etc.
Chapter Board Members are not eligible for this award.
