Scholarships
The Heartland Chapter will award up to $2,000 in scholarships per year. Applications for 2011-2012 scholarships up to $500 are available for submission. Applications are to be submitted to the Chapter Administrator at heartlandadmin@cox.net.

Awards (Star of the Quarter and Star of the Year)
Heartland Star
The Heartland Chapter recognizes a planner and/or a supplier each quarter as Heartland Star.
Individuals can be nominated by any member of the Heartland Chapter. The Heartland Chapter recognizes those members that contribute significantly above and beyond the ordinary. Things to be considered could be presenting or planning programs, planning a unique fundraiser, actively solicitating members, serving on a committee for a special project, etc.
The President, President-Elect and Chapter Administrator are not eligible for this award.
Star of the Year
The Heartland Chapter recognizes a planner and/or a supplier each quarter as Heartland Star of the Quarter. At the end of the
year (June 30th), the Chapter Board of Directors votes to determine the Heartland Star of the Year from the quarterly winners.
The Chapter Board of Directors votes to determine the Heartland Star of the Year from the quarterly winners. The President Elect will announce winner to the Board prior to announcement or presentation to the winner. The President Elect will announce/present Star of the Year award in April at the Annual Meeting.
The Star of the Year recipient will receive recognition at the Annual Meeting, award and certificate to attend the upcoming WEC or other meeting industry related activity up to $2,000.00 to assist with registration fee, airfare, hotel and shuttle expenses. Recipient will receive up to 50% of cash award in advance (if necessary) and will be required to submit receipts for additional expenditures incurred.
The President, President-Elect and Chapter Administrator are not eligible for this award.
